Traditionally, we look forward to Memorial Day Weekend as the kickoff to summer. The temperatures are rising, the pool is open and burgers are on the grill! It’s our first taste of what we can look forward to for the next three months – what we have been looking forward to after a long cold winter. Crown Point 154th Annual Memorial Day Commemoration, May 29-30, 2022
The Crown Point Annual Memorial Day Celebration makes its much anticipated return this year after a 2 year hiatus due to COVID. This well-loved event centers its happenings in Veterans Park including amusement rides, live music entertainment food and vendors. Fort Ticonderoga Memorial Day Weekend Commemoration
Fort Ticonderoga will pay tribute to the men and women who lost their lives in service to their country during the American Revolution. Discover the story of the American Army in 1777 and how it prepared to defend liberty at Ticonderoga through living history programs and demonstrations throughout Memorial Day weekend, Saturday and Sunday, May 28-29, 2022.

Throughout the Ticonderoga Area you will find banners on utility poles of “Hometown Heroes. These banners are photos of local members of the armed forces both past and present. Traveling through the area you can’t help but feel a sense of patriotic pride as you see face after face, that was willing to pay the ultimate price
Area Veterans Monuments
Ticonderoga Civil War Monument
Located in Artillery Park at the intersection of The Portage and Champlain Avenue. A life size civil war soldier in bronze, stands on a pedestal with memorial plaques in memory of the men and women of Ticonderoga who offered their lives in defense of their country.
Ticonderoga Veterans Memorial
Ticonderoga Veterans Memorial located above the LaChute Falls and Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park gives honor to the Ticonderoga Area Veterans who served in the US Armed Forces in War and Peace.
Crown Point Veterans Memorial Park & Monument
Located in downtown Crown Point. Offers a place to relax and is the site of events throughout the year. The monument within the Park has the names of those from Crown Point area who died serving in the military during the Civil War. Stones are located around the monument which have names of those who died starting from the revolutionary war to those who have passed away serving our country today.
