Ice fishing at the forts
Crown Point State Historic Site is perfectly situated on Lake Champlain as a starting point for ice fishing. Ice fishing clinics were offered for youth a few weeks ago, and with the cold chill still in the air, there is still plenty of ice left to fish from.
Hague Fish and Game Club Fishing Tournament
The Hague Fish and Game Club hosts their annual fishing tournament at the end of February each year. This tournament takes place on 5 bodies of water, including Lake Champlain. While the tournament may be over, head to FMB Bait Shop in Port Henry or Norm’s Bait and Tackle in Crown Point for the latest ice fishing news and information.
1759 Battle on Snowshoes Reenactment
Fort Ticonderoga will host the reenactment of the “Battle on Snowshoes” on February 26, 2022 from 10 a.m - 4 p.m. This event is a vivid recreation of this historic battle. Visitors will also explore life of the French Garrison at Fort Ticonderoga.
Star Trek Original Series Set Tour
On weekends throughout the winter you can have an out-of-this-world experience at the Star Trek Original Set Series Tour. Visit a complete recreation of the original 1960s Star Trek sets!

End of Winter Carnival
As we inch closer to the end of the season, visit Ticonderoga for the annual End of Winter Carnival, March 4 - 6, 2022. This event includes a number of family friendly activities including a family movie, a live streamed performance for children, outdoor carnival games, winter recreational opportunities, and a fireworks display! All events will follow current NYS COVID-19 guidelines.
