TACC Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony

The Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) will host their Annual Ticonderoga Area Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 6:00 PM. The complimentary dinner and awards ceremony will be held at the Knights of Columbus in Downtown Ticonderoga.

The dinner and awards ceremony are an opportunity to recognize all area businesses, organizations, and volunteers as well as the 2024 “Business of the Year,” “Organization of the Year,” “Chamber Volunteer of the Year,” “Community Volunteer of the Year,” and give out several TACC Appreciation Awards.

Nominations for the 2024 Business of the Year, Organization of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, and Community Volunteer of the Year, as well as TACC Appreciation Awards are now being accepted. Nomination forms are available at the Chamber office located at 94 Montcalm Street, Suite 1 in Downtown Ticonderoga or at www.ticonderogany.com. Online nominations can also be submitted via the TACC website. The link for online nominations is available in multiple locations. A link is available from the TACC. Nominations must be received by October 4, 2024.

“The Community Appreciation Dinner and Awards Ceremony is a chance to thank and honor those businesses, organizations, committees, and individuals, who work so diligently throughout the year. Without the dedication, drive, and true spirit of volunteerism and the commitment of the businesses and organizations within the area so many initiatives, events, improvements, and projects would not be possible. A big thank you to our amazing volunteers for assisting with coordination of this event, the Knights of Columbus/Knights Catering Hall for being our hosts, and to all of those who will sponsor this event. We would also like to thank our Board & Ambassadors for all their assistance” stated Erin Mullen, Member Service & Event Manager, Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce.

In 2023, awards were given to businesses, organizations, committees, and individuals, who not only support the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce, but give of themselves for the betterment of the Ticonderoga Area and the community. At last year’s event, the recipient of the Business of the Year Award was the Hot Biscuit Diner, Organization of the Year was awarded to Ticonderoga Fire Department, Chamber Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Cathy & Rich Allen, and the Community Volunteer of the Year award was given to Steve & Sylvia Boyce. TACC Appreciation Awards were given to National Grid, Champlain National Bank, Maria Bagneschi, Dylan Menke, Christine Frasier, Marge Hurlburt, Bob & Jan Whitaker, Linda Cunningham, DeFranco Landscaping, and the Essex County Industrial Development Agency.

Special Recognition Awards were given to Starr Smith (outgoing TACC Board Member), Francine Burke (Retired Owner of The Country Florist & Gifts), and Marge Cross (Retired Owner of Rainbow Nursery School).

This event is made possible by the sponsorship of area businesses and organizations. If you are interested in being a sponsor of the 2024 Ticonderoga Area Community Appreciation Dinner & Awards Ceremony, contact Erin Mullen at the TACC Office (518-585-6619 or emullen@ticonderogany.com).
