History and Archeology of Fort St. Frederic
The Friends of Crown Point State Historic Site are pleased to invite the public to "History and Archaeology of Fort St. Frederic," presented by Matthew O'Leary of Syracuse University at Crown Point State Historic Site on October 13th at 2 PM. Matthew O'Leary will briefly discuss the history of the French fort at Crown Point, Fort St. Frederic before turning to a detailed discussion of some of the archaeological discoveries made by a May 2024 field school at Crown Point State Historic Site. The presentation is free and open to the public, and begins at 2:00 PM in the Crown Point State Historic Site Museum. A brief business meeting of the Friends of Crown Point State Historic Site will take place prior to the lecture at 1:15 PM.
