Retrace historic footsteps with a foliage tour that looks out over Lake Champlain from the top of Mount Defiance.

This wonderfully scenic route goes by some of the most pivotal elements of the Industrial Revolution, explained by the two museums along the route. Mostly paved, cross bike recommended. Very hilly remote roads with limited services and some logging truck

This lovely route is also a symbol of friendship: look for the stone with an image of the two shaking hands etched in it.

Along with the gorgeous views of the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain and great cycling roads, there are also wonderful hiking possibilities along this route.
