You can already feel the crisp air of fall on its way and touches of bright colors are staring to kiss the leaves. With fall quickly approaching it is time to plan your visit to the Ticonderoga Area. Of course, you have to have a cinnamon cider donut at Gunnison’s Orchard or the Hot Biscuit Diner but there are wonderful fall festivals for all to enjoy while enjoying leaf peeping, pumpkins, apples, and all the season has to offer. Whatever is on your fall bucket list, it can be accomplished in the Ticonderoga Area and Lake Champlain Region. There is something for everyone and don't forget your camera!
Fort Ticonderoga events
Heroic Maze – A Corn Maze Adventure: throughout September and October.
Explore the fort's enjoyable, six-acre corn maze, which is newly designed for 2019. Open weekends through October 20, including Columbus Day.
Carillion Boat Cruises: throughout September and October.
Learn about centuries of stirring maritime and military history during a 75-minute scenic cruise aboard the Carillon. Tours are offered daily through October 18. Advanced reservations required.
Heritage, Harvest & Horse Festival: October 5
Bring the whole family for a full day of autumn fun. A lively and colorful harvest market will be set in the King’s Garden, plus games and activities for all.
Maze By Moonlight: October 25 and 26
Use your flashlight to guide you through the Heroic Maze, where corn stalks await in this family-favorite event.
Living History Event: October 26 and 27
Relive the tense days of 1776 when the work of 13,000 American soldiers held the line against the British Army and fleet of Lake Champlain.

FallFest: September 28
FallFest will take place throughout Ticonderoga with themed events, kid’s activities, music, specials, promotions, and more.
Annual ADK Harvest Plein Air Festival: September 26 – 29
Join artists in this annual plein air festival. You will be able to paint the beautiful scenes of fall. You can also admire completed work at the Ticonderoga Arts Downtown Gallery.
Penfield Apple FolkFest: October 13
Apple desserts, chili, hot dogs, craft fair, live music, and more. Check out all the Penfield Heritage Museum has to offer.
Ticonderoga HalloweenFest: October 25 – 31
An array of Halloween events happen throughout the Ticonderoga Area, including trick-or-treating at local businesses on Halloween. Events include a pumpkin walk, kids show, Fort Ticonderoga events, Monster Mini-Golf, movies and more.
Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market: Each Saturday in September from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. Be sure to put the market on your calendar. The market offers an array of local products and produce, as well as special events and live music. For updates on special events, visit the Ticonderoga Area Farmers Market facebook page.
Be sure to stop by The Country Florist & Gifts, Tromblees Greenhouse & Gifts, and Sugar & Spice Country Shoppe during their fall open houses and festivities. Each of them hosts seasonal events and are must stops for your fall décor needs!
