North Country Christmas week
Ticonderoga throws open its doors during the 5th Annual North Country Christmas Celebration, this year from November 29 - December 7. With a heck of a host of events every single night during the week, you’ll want to get a room in Ticonderoga for a couple of days, or the whole week. A sampling of the North Country Christmas events are:
- Annual Tree Lighting
- Festival of Trees Open House at Ticonderoga Historical Society
- 4th of July in December Chicken BBQ
- Holiday Shopping & Dining Night (with loads of store specials and giveaways)
- Fort Ticonderoga’s “The Noble Train Begins” living history event
- TACC Annual SantaFest
- Champlain Valley Chorale Holiday Concert

Join the holiday crowd on Thursday, December 4th as they Sample Our Holiday Pairings with Ticonderoga Arts & Libby’s Bakery Cafe. The Downtown Gallery will host this tasting with appetizers, sweets, local artists and music all to go along with a selection of cocktails. Check out some of our great local cultural talent and perhaps find some holiday gifts.

Christmas in Essex | And Santa on a ferry!
Christmas comes alive in Essex during their annual Magic of Christmas event on December 13. Join in as Essex throws on the holiday lights and exudes good cheer. Santa & Mrs. Claus even arrive in Essex via the Lake Champlain Ferry! They'll feed you at a free pancake breakfast at the Essex Fire Department, and entertain you with a Steven Kellog reading at the library, along with lots more. Stroll around the shops of Essex and enjoy a Christmas art show, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, the lighting of the town tree and traditional Christmas caroling.
