This week in the Lake Champlain Region the fall foliage is nearing peak in the highest elevations and still only at about 50% near the lakeshore areas.
Come spend a day or three and visit our fantastic attractions, restaurants, galleries and shops and stay in one of our historic inns. Tour the region and take in the great fall foliage as well.
There are still farmers markets open - Elizabethtown on Fridays and Ticonderoga on Saturdays. It’s the best time of year to visit our local farmers for some of the finest produce and wares of the harvest season.
In Moriah this weekend you can stop by the Town of Moriah Classic Car & Truck Show starting at 9 a.m. The Port Henry Knights of Columbus hosts this free event and also offers a $10 Chicken BBQ. Sounds like a great mid-day stop!
Be sure to make time to visit both Ausable Chasm for some spectacular scenery and Fort Ticonderoga for its amazing history.
There are many more activities to keep you busy in the Lake Champlain Region, whether you hike, bike, shop, dine or just hang out by the lake and take in the gorgeous fall foliage.
Taking place both Saturday and Sunday, October 5th and 6th, you could take a side trip to nearby Whiteface Region for the annual Whiteface Mountain Oktoberfest, one of the region's biggest events.
