Long Pond is located in the middle of the Lake Champlain Region's most scenic mountains, including Rattlesnake Mountain.

Fishing

Once private, a hiking trail has opened up in 2024 to access Long Pond after years of work from Champlain Area Trails (CATS) and the surrounding residents. Please stay on the designated trail.

Long Pond is 400 acres, so there is plenty of room to fish. Species include: smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed, and yellow perch.

How to get there

The trailhead parking area is on Carver Road, about 0.7 miles west of Route 22. This is a 4.5 mile loop trail, which is mostly easy but does have some rocky terrain. Depending on where you decide to stop, the trail will be less than 4.5 miles.
