Rogers Pond is a scenic spot but difficult to reach the open water. Beavers have done a number on it, but it’s a great place to do some birding.
How to get there
From Westport, head north on Champlain Avenue. In less than half a mile, veer right onto Lakeshore Road and continue 2.6 miles. From here, take a left onto Ainger Hill Road, where there is access.
By the numbers
This walk is 0.75 miles round trip.
Hiking
From the road look for a path on the north side of the outlet and follow it. There will be camp to your right, avoid the camp. The path will lead you along the shore and back to Roger Pond. Ainger Hill sits above the pond to the back.
