Explore Historic Keeseville
Keeseville, settled in 1808 along the Ausable River, thrived as an industrial hub by the mid-19th century, home to factories, mills, and the renowned Keeseville Manufacturing Company. By 1860, it was a bustling village with seven churches, mills, and factories producing nails, tools, and furniture. Though industry declined by the 1960s, Keeseville’s rich history lives on through its 19th-century architecture. Today, 125 of its historic buildings and bridges are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserving the legacy of its prosperous past.
