Crown Point State Historic Site to Host a Free Family-Friendly Ice Fishing Clinic

Saturday February 8th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM It will be at the Crown Point Historic Site, 21 Grandview Drive, Crown Point.

Staff and volunteers will teach the basics of ice fishing for beginners, with all the gear you’ll need for the day! Dress warmly and in layers: a hat, gloves, and waterproof boots. Some warm and cold drinks will be available. Snacks or a bag lunch are strongly recommended.

There is no fee for this event. If cancellation is necessary due to predicted weather or ice conditions, we will do so 24 hours ahead of event. If you have question email thomas.meyering@parks.ny.gov or call (518) 597-4666.

We can’t promise they’ll bite…but we’ll try our best to send you home with a fish! This is a great chance to fish with friends and learn about the long-loved North Country tradition of ice fishing.
