The Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center is located in the lovely Adirondack setting of Willsboro, New York.  We provide a range of services from school trips to community events, to facility rental for special events. 

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

PMOEC offers a hands-on approach to outdoor education that focuses on personal growth.  The Center’s Mission is to create and encourage a sense of awe in the presence of nature, promote teamwork, communication, and tolerance, and to build self-confidence and nurture self-worth for students of all ages.

SCHOOL TRIPS:

The Pok-O-MacCready Outdoor Education Center has been serving school and other youth groups for over 30 years. School groups are the main focus of our program, and our highly adaptable program works for children of any age. Because teachers tailor the activity schedule, they can choose and direct the focus of their trip. Students have fun on adventures and activities that teach them about nature, their impact on the environment, teamwork, and much more!

COMMUNITY EVENTS:

Our extensive and beautiful property is great place for various activities. You can host your own event at center or attend one of the many Community Events offered each season.

EVENT VENUE & FACILITY RENTAL:

Our facilities can be used as a venue for events ranging from retreats and school Outing Club expeditions to family reunions and weddings.  Our property provides beautiful scenery and is a perfect backdrop for weddings. Our buildings and areas can be used for ceremonies, meals, dancing, and much more! Lodging, along with activities led by our staff, can be included in your package.

BIRTHDAY PARTIES AND FAMILY GET-TOGETHERS:

Birthday parties at Pok-O are fun for the children and easy for adults. Our friendly staff will show your children a safe and great time!

CONFERENCES AND RETREATS:

For conferences and retreats, we are pleased to offer the following services:

-Personal Pok-O-MacCready staff liaison to ensure all needs are met, as well as staff for your event

-Two large interior conference spaces and five small breakout lounges and rooms

-Five tennis courts, basketball court, sports fields, and a street hockey rink

-Four heated dorms capable of hosting 120 people

-Buffet or family-style breakfast, lunch, and dinner

-300+ acres of Adirondack wilderness to relax in

-Close proximity to Plattsburgh, NY, Burlington, VT, and Montreal, QC

-Overhead projector for presentations and a sound system for music

-Evening campfires, snacks, and programs

-Customized programs and downhill ski excursions can be arranged upon request
