The Empire State Trail is a 750 mile multi-use trail connecting Manhattan to northern Lake Champlain that began as a New York State initiative in 2017.  The initiative will connect residents and visitors to the natural, historic and cultural features of this important corridor and link communities throughout the state. Hikers, cyclists, and in some areas snowmobilers, will be welcome.  The tentative completion date is in 2020.
