Beggs Park occupies a lovely point of land where there used to be manufacturing of horseshoe nails and window sashes, since burned down in the early 1900s. Canal boats docked here often, supplying the local industry. Enjoy the fishing pier, town park, and playground that offer great views of the lake and the Essex waterfront.

Full name, Marion Fraser Beggs Memorial Park.

This is also a great spot for birding!

The Essex, NY-Charlotte, VT ferry runs most of the year and docks near the park.
